Chime is an instant banking solution wrapped inside a mobile app and best suited for our immediate financial needs. Nowadays banks have a range of options when it comes to opening an account, which makes it difficult for the user to find the right option for themselves. Chime makes the process simple by offering one savings account, one checking account, and one secure credit, all within a mobile app.
Apart from keeping it simple and immediately accessible, Chime also offers wonderful benefits over traditional banking services. It offers a straightforward lineup of free account options, provides automated saving tools to improve your saving habits, and gives early receipts of direct deposit payments.
What are the cash withdrawal limits on Chime?
Chime users can withdraw up to $500 every day using an ATM. However, you must be aware that you will be charged a $2.50 fee every time you withdraw money from an ATM that is outside the MoneyPass and VPA networks. Moreover, an out of network ATM might charge you an additional fee at their discretion.
If you want to withdraw money another way, you can visit a bank or credit union and request cash withdrawal. You will have to provide your Chime Visa Debit Card to the teller. This type of withdrawal is called Over-The-Counter Withdrawal. Similar to ATM withdrawal, you will be charged $2.50 with a limit of $500 per day.
Chime allows its users a limit of $2500 maximum amount to be spent using the card per day, including ATM and Over-The-Counter withdrawal, funds are withdrawn at POS, and purchases made.
Additionally ATM operators, merchants, and participating banks can charge their own fees on withdrawals.
If you are charged an ATM fee at an in-network MoneyPass and VPA ATMs, you can raise a complaint with Chime by writing to them through Chime mobile app or emailing them at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are charged by mistake, your money will be credited in your account within a few days.
Can I withdraw money from my savings account at an ATM?
Chime does not allow users to access savings account money at an ATM. You will have to transfer the amount you want to withdraw to your spending account first. You can make six transfers from your savings account to your spending account every month. In order to make the transfer, use the Chime mobile app or visit the Chime website and go to the Move Money – Transfers section to make the transfer.
