Debit cards are one of the most convenient way to access your money, regardless of where you are. Nevertheless, sometimes we are in situations where we have lost or misplaced our debit card and there is no way to withdraw cash, making it difficult for us to manage our expenses.
In order to make the cash withdrawal system more convenient, most banks have started offering cardless withdrawal. However, Chime is yet to catch up on this trend. In fact, one of the most frequently asked questions that comes out of Chime users is whether they can withdraw cash without a debit card.
Can I withdraw cash from Chime without a card?
While there is no direct way to withdraw cash from Chime without using a card, there are some indirect ways available using which you can access your Chime balance.
Let’s take a look:
Transferring funds to another online bank account
The easiest way to access your Chime funds without a card is to transfer the money to another online bank account. If your friend has a Chime account or an account in a bank and they have a debit card with them, you can simply transfer the money to their account and ask them to withdraw it for you.
Since does not charge any fee on transfer between users, this is the best way to have access to your money.
Use Chime card through a digital wallet
You can also access the money in your Chime account through a digital wallet. There are a range of digital wallets out there including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Venmo, PayPal, and Google Wallet. A digital wallet lets you store your card details so you can use it to make contactless payments.
Check your digital card
Chime recently added a new feature that allows you to see the digital version of your debit card. This feature gives you all your card details including the number on card, expiration date, and CVV. Using these details you can make any transactions and purchases without the need for having a physical card with you.
